Finished my NCAA eligibility at Cal. Notable achievements include placing 4th on Cal as we placed 8th at the West Region Cross Country meet, defeating top-30 nationally ranked Gonzaga. Lowered PR's in 3k (8:21) and 10k (29:51). Placed 12th at the outdoor PAC-12 Championships in the 10k.

Developed a prototype for a machine learning camp for students aged 13-18. Content was focused on data organization and machine learning algorithms. Used Python, Jupyter, and scikit-learn. The camp demoed to a small group in August.

Worked at the paper product plant in Oxnard, CA. Designed and executed systems upgrades for environmental and quality projects. Led capital projects aimed at savings values between $200,000 and $300,000 annually. Created model for upcoming plant redesign, resulting in predicted $300,000 savings.

Helped develop the front-end authorization pages for Centralix, a cryptocurrency exchange start-up. Pages developed include Login, Signup, Two-Factor Login, and Reset Password. Coding done in JavaScript using the React framework. Involved integration with backend.

Wrapped things up with a 15th place finish in the 10k at the ACC Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Other notable accomplishments include recording a top 5 Georgia Tech all-time mark in the indoor 5k (14:32) and finishing the outdoor season with a top 200 national Division 1 ranking in the 10k (192nd with a 30:33). This project demonstrated embedded systems knowledge. I was personally responsible for writing the majority of the C++ code and the entirety of a bash script that read input from the mbed to the Raspberry Pi.

Worked with an interdisciplinary group to develop a wearable safety device and app. Physical device played loud noise and flashed light as deterrent; app sent a distress message to authorities and gave users the option to call an emergency contact. Personally responsible for iOS app development and hardware – software integration. Main personal challenges were: storing and retrieving distress messages from third party server (SendBird) and reliably connecting and enabling communication between users' phones and hardware device.

Assembled and programmed a robotic dust control system using RSLogix 5000 controls software. Designed and programmed a camera vision system for package registration and quality assurance. Developed programs for collaborative robot applications. Acquired knowledge of control theory, motion control, and industrial safety practices.

Re-developed stamping nanoimprint lithography for R&D centers and academic labs. Used force sensor and Arduino microcontroller to optimize stamping movement and pressure. Helped design user interface with Python to communicate with Arduino to facilitate use by new users. Personally responsible for communication between Arduino and UI on Raspberry Pi. Resulted in stamping success rate increase from ~30% to ~95%.
